Welcome to svaldez.com, an introduction to who I am professionally.
I am a freelance editor living and working in New York City. I combine
a strong visual aesthetic with an acute rhythmic style. I have been editing
for almost eleven years with AVID systems, and have been cutting
in New York for almost seven years. I began, in New York,
cutting corporate and fashion pieces for a small ad agency and later
moved to National Video Center where I served a variety of clients
from the television industry. I've cut highly stylized packages
and programs for MTV and VH1 as well as promos for Nickelodeon,
TNN (now Spike TV), and Buena Vista Television. I’m very accustomed to,
and comfortable with working in the spontaneous and demanding environment
of television post production. If you have a project that would be served
